FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS

Fabiola Osorio

McPherson Family Resource Center Coordinator

I thoroughly enjoy helping members of my community find the resources available to meet their basic needs. I enjoy encouraging them to go reach further by offering them the tools necessary to develop their leadership skills and to become self-sufficient and active members of their community. I feel very proud when I see them grow and achieve their goals.

Miriam Rodriguez

Parent University Site Coordinator, McPherson Family Resource Center

I love when I can see parents more involved at school, helping in projects or taking classes to learn how to attain a better future.

Me encanta poder ver a los padres más involucrados en la escuela, ayudando enlos proyectos o tomando clases para aprender cómo pueden prepararse para un futuro mejor.

Leticia Gonzalez

Case Manager, McPherson Family Resource Center

I do my work in order to help families meet their basic needs by giving them the necessary information they need. I help them to have a better quality of life for themselves and for their families so that they can excel and thus achieve a better future. Doing this makes me feel really good.

Lupita Melgoza

Phillips Family Resource Center Coordinator

I do the work that I do because I want to give back to the community that once helped my family. It's motivating for me to see other families and know that I can help them and make a difference in their life.

Yessica Toral

Phillips Family Resource Center Case Manager & SparkPoint Coordinator

While growing up, I received a lot of financial and moral assistance from different organizations that helped me get an education. Now, I want to give back to my community by assisting those in need.

Ligia Navarette

Administrative Assistant, Phillips Family Resource Center

When I arrived in Napa 14 years ago, I knew no one. When my daughters started school, I met a lady who started telling me about all the events and programs that my family could benefit. From that moment I decided that helping others is very rewarding. I started volunteering at school and looking at the newspaper for information that I shared with my neighbors and friends. This job gives me the opportunity to help not only my acquaintances but the whole neighborhood.  It gives me great satisfaction and joy. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to help people make a positive change in their lives.

Leadership Academies

Brodie Azevedo

Youth Leadership Academy Director

I am passionate about helping young people find their voice and to take leadership among their peers and adults in the community. It is exciting to see youth share power with adults and work together to create a stronger community.

Laura Sanchez

Administrative Assistant, Youth Leadership Academy

I work here because ever since I was part of the LAYLA program, I began to enjoy the idea of giving back, being involved, and experiencing new things. Mainly, I do what I do because I want to be another individual that can be approached and trusted by all the youth, as well as parents, by being open and available for them.
